As the new year approaches it is the time our thoughts turn to renewals.
Swim England have issued their fee table for next year as below
(Fees for every swimmer due to Swim England always consist of the sum of National, Regional and County fees)
Club Fees will slightly increase to £23 for the year. £23 for 2023 - see what we did there! Non-swimming Club Officials etc. remains at £5
So the fees due in January for the various categories and payable to the Club will be...
Club Compete: £62 - Members who compete for CHESC at any point during the year, including relays
Club Train: £41.50 - those members who only train and have no intention of competing in the year (Why Not?)
Club Support: £14 - Non-swimming members who represent the club on committee etc.
Club Membership Only: £23 - those swimmers who register and pay fees to Swim England through another Swimming Club
Friends of the Club: £5 - Non-swimming members with no Swim England association who just "support" the Club
Training Fees will remain static at £4 per session (payable by Bank Transfer of £40 for 10 sessions) despite a major hike in pool rental charges being imposed by the school - the club will absorb these for the time being.
A new/renewal membership form has been released which all members must complete for the 2023 year - 2023 Membership Form

Unfortunately the Girls school have requested that lettings be cancelled on Thursday 20th October to allow for an open evening and visitors parking on site. Apologies for any inconvenience but they are expecting a very busy evening.
University of Birmingham Masters Meet
The University of Birmingham swimming club is hosting a their first masters meet, at the university pool, on Saturday 19th November, 12:30-8pm. This is a unique opportunity to race at the UoB pool, competing against the university swimmers who boast a range of abilities, making for an interesting and competitive meet.
We would like to formally invite your members to this competition, and ask that you could pass on relevant information to swimmers who may be interested. Attached is the meet pack, which contains the schedule and term and conditions.
Furthermore, if there are any qualified officials who would be interested in helping us out for the day, we would welcome their help and will provide a meal, refreshments, as well as reimbursing travel expenses.

Club hats are available (£5) and Anne will have them with her at the Midlands and Nationals.
Due to works over the summer holidays the pool will NOT re-open on the 5th September as planned. This is more likely to be the week commencing 12th September. The pool has been repaired and is being re-filled, once this is complete it then needs to be re-heated! There is a very outside chance this could be by Thursday 8th September - watch this space!
A small, but perfectly formed, group swam at the Shropshire Masters meet in Wolverhampton on 15th May, including "newbie" and first timers. A decent medal haul was had with everyone getting something
Easter Holiday - Pool Closed 18th / 20th & 21st April
Jubilee Holiday - Pool Closed 30th May, 1st and 2nd June
Summer Shutdown - Last session Thursday 21st July - Re-open Monday 5th September
(The school are planning to refurbish the lobby and changing rooms during the summer!)
2022 Membership Fees
Its that time of year again when we are required to submit our Swim England Fees
You will be pleased to hear CHESC will again keep the club fees down to a minimum and so for 2022 we will only be charging our members £22 (less than 50p a week)

Your 2022 National fees are:
Category 1 (Club Train)
- £9.35
Category 2 (Club Compete)
- £28.15
Category 3 (Club Support)
- £5.25
Your 2022 Region fees are:
Category 1: £8.00
Category 2: £8.00
Category 3: £2.50
Your 2022 County fees are:
Category 1: £1.00
Category 2: £1.00
Category 3: £1.00
So adding the CHESC £22 to these we have:-
Club Train = £40.35 Club Compete = £59.15 Club Support = £13.75
